Ochre and umber browns combine together to create the raw earthy qualities of "Angulatim". Etched on the lower half of the painting, or "below the surface", jagged twists and corners scrape paint away, exposing the hints of gold underneath. In addition to this, the metallic quality of the piece glimmers underneath the top layer of oil paint, adding warmth compared to the darker tones below.
